I've never been here, and I hear the trailhead is hard to find but everyone who has found it says it the best park around.

City/town information

This beautiful little city has grown a lot over the last 20 years, but the heart of the Harbor remains charming, with epic views and full of maritime history. Also full of great places to eat.

Local brew pub

This brew pub makes a great IPA and other beer and is at the mouth of Gig Harbor looking at the lighthouse, spit, and Mt. Rainier. The photos don’t do it justice. Check in at the Tides Tavern and grab a cold one here while you wait for a table. Just a gorgeous spot.

City advice

What to pack

Bring good beach shoes for a rocky, oystery shore

And if you're interested in harvesting your dinner right off the beach, be sure and get some licenses for everyone harvesting ahead of time.
Don't miss

How things work

There is a notebook in the mudroom explaining how things in the house work (the washing machine is a bit tricky, etc) and the WiFi code is also posted in the mudroom.
