Who knew whiskey would join wine, but our adult kids love the Woodinville Rye in their Manhattans ... Tours are temporarily unavailable but the tasting room is open.

Never imagined all these business parks would be repurposed for wine or craft beer but no complaints here! Triplehorn is great, located on the 'town of Woodinville' side of our hill. Plenty of seating in the Taproom but no kitchen, so plan to grab a bite in town first or see if they have one of their food trucks on site.

So what used to be one of the sketch local dives has gone upmarket and fun for the whole family! Parking is a bear so Uber is best, or walk up from the parking lots near the playing fields.

True confessions -- it's our kids who like this bistro at the bottom of the hill, and plenty of others seem to agree.

If you feel like branching out for a local brunch and cinnamon rolls as big as a plate, the Maltby Cafe is where you'll want to go -- but take a book for the wait at the busy times of day. 15 minutes drive from ours.

Places Locals Love

When we first moved to Woodinville Molbak's and the Feed store were the biggest shows in town! Any time of year this is a lovely break from wine and food to enjoy plants, home decor and a coffee or sweet treat.

The Tolt Pipeline trail cuts right over Hollywood Hill and we walk it all the time. Here is a website that can give more details, and we'll give you tips as well: https://www.traillink.com/trail/tolt-pipeline-trail/

Haggen's has the expected big grocery pharmacy and drug store section, but we tend to drive across the valley and go to Bartell's when we need a drug store. It is only about 5 minutes further each way. There is a Safeway right next to it, and if you like super gooey pizza ask us about Pizza Bank across the street!

15 minutes away, Duvall is a fun small main street to walk up and the drive there is lovely. A few casual restaurants/taprooms and quirky shops.

Not sure why Chateau Ste Michelle shows up in the photo for Cottage Lake (a local would know better!) -- this lake on the other side of our hill has a small park you can enjoy. https://www.kingcounty.gov/services/parks-recreation/parks/parks-and-natural-lands/popular-parks/cottagelake.aspx
