Check first to see if you are allowed to hike out there (Summer 2020 - due to Covid-19) Nice short hike to get there, from where you park. Very scenic.
Dogs allowed, but must be on leash. When the beach is open (check first) you can swim at the beach there. Or if you are in a kayak, it's nice to paddle around the Lighthouse.

As ski instructors one of the things we love about Hunter are the views from the top. The Scenic Sky Ride is available all summer and into early Fall.
And for those of you that would like to "fly" through the air, NY Zipline Adventure tours is located at Hunter Mountain too.
