Snowmobile/ATV
The Redfield Area is famous for amazing Snowmobiling and ATV riding. The cabin is in the center of it all with access to the trails by riding right from the cabin driveway. Please contact us with any questions on the area snowmobile and atv trails.

ATV from the cabin...
The Oswego County ATV Club has nearly 100 miles of trails that are accessible by riding from the cabin. The roads from the cabin to the trail system are legal atv roads. Trail Map available at the cabin. Permits available by visiting the Oswego County ATV Club Website. To access the Oswego County trails turn left out of the cabin and continue over through Redfield on County Route 17. When leaving Redfield turn left on County Rt 2 to Dam Rd on the left. This stretch consists of ATV legal roads. Once over by Salmon River Falls you will find trail access toward Orwell, Altmar, Happy Valley, and Pulaski.
Ride North from the system and you can access Winona Forest and on to Barnes Corners and the Tug Hill ATV system. This route consists of about 25 miles of ATV legal road riding to access the trails.
If looking for a long day loop from the cabin you can make a loop from the cabin to Osceola and turn right on Osceola/West Leyden Rd through Swancotts Mills, then left on Goodhines Road. From here head to the Tug Hill Hideaway. From the Hideaway there will be about 45 miles of trail and seasonal gravel roads taking you over the center of Tug Hill passed Highmarket, Flat Rock, and up toward Barnes Corners. Gas is available on the hill at the Highmarket Inn, Montague Inn, or right in Barnes Corners. From Barnes corners area take Worth Road and follow ATV legal roads (some paved, some gravel) toward Winona Forest and on to the northern part of the Oswego County ATV system and back to Redfield.
This total loop is about 140 miles with about 60 miles being ATV legal blacktop and 80 on trails and seasonal gravel roads. Please be sure roads are legal prior to riding them as the legal roads often change.
On this route you will go by the large Tug Hill wind farm, and be sure to check out the Whetstone Gorge which is accessible off of Corrigon Hill Road for some great scenery.

About one mile north of the Osceola Hotel, Park on right of road. Nice hiking trail into Fall Brook (Osceola Falls). The trail is about 1/3 mile each way and has several nice small natural waterfalls once at the stream. This trailhead is about 5 minutes from the cabin.
