City advice
What to pack
Water shoes are very useful for local swimming holes.
The river base and waterfalls can be rocky. Water shoes or old sneakers will make swimming and exploring the creeks much more enjoyable!
What to pack
Flashlighs!
I recommend leaving a flashlight in the car so if you get back to the cabin after dark you'll be able to make it down the path. There are no street lights in the area and it gets dark!
Getting around
The Pocono Pony
Free River runner van will transport you and your bikes or boats back to your vehicle from one way trips along the Delaware River.
Don't miss
Hiking behind the cabin
Take a short hike to the Dingmans Creek and, if your up for it, follow the creek upstream to George W Childs Park/ Deer Leap Falls.
Customs and culture
10pm to 9am neighborhood quiet times.
Please keep the noise to a minimum while enjoying an evening campfire after 10pm
