The french toast sandwich has a following of it's own. Be sure to arrive early or be prepared for a long line to order food. It's totally worth it though. (FYI no alcohol)

If you're in the mood for a healthy smoothie or need a hangover cure (try the Grand Slam), Arden's Garden is amazing for juice-heads.

A little further than walking distance for the layman, Dish Dive is a tiny (16-seats inside) restaurant sharing a refurbished home with a barbershop. The food is served in small plates, is inexpensive and crazy elevated. Definitely get the Dive Fries and Pig Belly French Toast. It's BYOB so be sure to grab a 6-pack or bottle of wine first. Pro tip: text them for reservations: 404-957-7918.

Gorgeous and large, Piedmont Park is a regular spot for locals. It's also a common place for movies to be filmed as Atlanta is a growing alternative to Hollywood. There's a dog park, lots of paved sidewalks for walking/running and a pond in the middle of it all. Also check out the Botanical Gardens and Orpheus Brewery.

Getting Around

If you don't mind public transportation, you can park your car here or grab an Uber to get to it (it's a long, but doable walk). It's easy to go one more stop East and check out Downtown Decatur or take the train to/from the airport.
