The Royal Mile has The Castle at one end and Holyrood Palace at the othe and has lots of interesting shops , pubs etc on the way. TIP, Start at the Castle and work your way downhill!.

Always go by bus when going in to the town centre as the tra

Service 11 from the Victoria Park end of Summerside Place takes 10/15 minutes to Princes St . Buy a day or family ticket from the driver £4 50 and is valid until midnight.
What to pack

Always bring a raincoat !!

Edinburgh is a very safe place to visit and the streets are safe at any hour day or night.
Getting around

The buses are a great way to get around .

Dont take a car into town as there is very little parking available , always take the bus.
