City advice

Getting around

London underground (aka the tube) best way to travel.

There are a number of underground stations around the area. The underground network is extensive. You will be able to get to most places by tube. Avoid the morning and evening rush hours. FACE MASKS ARE COMPULSORY TO TRAVEL ON THE UNDERGROUND. Operates from around 5.30am to 1am every day.
What to pack

Travel without an umbrella at your own peril!

An umbrella is a must have travel accessory, especially during the winter months when it can be quite wet.
Book before you go

Theatres

It is advisable to book tickets to your favourite shows before you travel. 'On the day' tickets can be very expensive and may be limited.
Customs and culture

Please take care

London is a big, busy international city. Remember social distancing, wear face masks in shops, on the underground and wherever you are asked to. Use the hand-wash provided (especially important for children). Wherever possible make payment by credit or debit card and avoid cash. Be sensible, be safe.
