This is about the best scenic spot you will find in the area - overlooking the Saratoga Lake and though I have not seen it in the winter yet, I am positive it will be as amazing as it is in the summer and fall! PLUS their food is wonderful!

Sightseeing

Beautiful drive and once you reach Lake Placid there is so much to do. Fun local brewery, plenty of dining selections, plus sightseeing - check out where the Miracle on Ice happened!

Perhaps one of the most underrated NY destinations! I am not even a baseball fan and I was amazed at how much I enjoyed the Baseball Hall of Fame! Plus once again the drive to Cooperstown is only 1 1/2 hours and a gorgeous drive. The town is as Americana as baseball and apple pie - everyone that we have suggested this to has loved it.

Tons of great restaurants and about as much of a bar scene that you will find in the area - check out the Roosevelt Spa for a day of Pampering and the Race Horse Museum and Hall of Fame is a fantastic and interesting way to spend the day - even if you are not a fan.

Great little casino. Slots if that’s your thing - plus blackjack, poker, roulette and craps!!! Dukes is great restaurant though a little pricey. But there are other restaurants in walking distance.
