This is one of my favorite places in Charleston! There are several restaurants to choose from on this shrimp-boat lined creek with excellent food and waterfront seating. The Shem Creek boardwalk leads to the mouth of the creek boasting breathtaking views of the Ravenel Bridge and the sunset! Definitely a must!

Folly Beach has spectacular sunrises at one end and sunsets at the other end of the beach. There is a lighthouse at the far Eastern tip that is a hidden gem of beautiful sunrises and exploring. On the other end of the beach you can catch spectacular sunsets, often with pods of dolphins swimming off in the distance. The town is laid back with a bit of a hippy vibe. Fun little shops on the main strip and some great restaurants with ocean views.

Waterfront park boasts a beautiful dock that juts out into the Cooper River with breathtaking views of the harbor, Mount Pleasant, Patriots Point and the Ravenel Bridge. The dock is lined with porch swings if you want to lazily swing in the salty sea air. Stop at Vendu Rooftop for lunch or a drink and views of the city before heading to Rainbow Row and the Battery, which are in walking distance.

This tree is said to be around 500 years old! It’s over 60 ft tall and has a circumference of almost 30ft. The tree is breathtaking and there is a quaint gift shop on the property to purchase souvenirs.

Beautiful grounds! You can spend several hours walking through gardens and along the water seeing alligators, a peacock and other wildlife as well as the historical plantation. Beautiful place to take photos!

This is basically an adult dog park. It’s a large enclosed area that has a bar, live music and food trucks and pups galore.
