Getting around
The sunrail
This is great for day time/weekday travel. You can get to historic Sanford, through Seminole county, through downtown and to sand lake road. It’s a great way to save money. BEWARE the travel schedule ends earlier than you’d expect.

Uber
Uber is the best way to get to downtown orlando, winter park, the theatres, or south of downtown from the house.
Customs and culture
Orlando Strong
As many know, Pulse Night Club was a site for a mass shooting. A lot of our community, including us, lost friends that night. You’ll see a great deal of street art on building downtown, on Mills, through Thornton park and the Milk district commemorating our collective loss and love for the gay community.
Book before you go
Parks, movies, theatre, night clubs
Parks - all the parks need to be booked in advance. In the COVID-19 world you have to buy your ticket AND make a reservation. Don’t delay. Do it months or weeks in advance. Movies - you can usually book the week or night of. Theatres-book 1-4 weeks in advance. Nightclubs - book the night of or just show up. Unless it’s New Years or a major event.
What to pack
Florida weather.
Always have tennis shoes and a pair of flip flops. Always have a jacket from October to April. Always bring or buy sunblock and bug spray.
