The best whiskey selections! You can order a flight of whiskey, or our favorite is the “Old Fashioned with Makers Mark, No Soda Water”. Great steak selections, and the steak bites with blue cheese sauce is a favorite.

Neighborhoods

This adorable town has a “small town” vibe packed with great “city” amenities. Being so close to Yosemite and Bass Lake, the tourism industry keeps the town going strong. Enjoy unique architecture as the town was founded on the logging industry, with the original mill being where the Vons is now. Take a ride through history with the local Sugar Pine Railroad and enjoy the festive decorations for the holidays. Enjoy breathtaking views of Yosemite after the short drive from town to the South Gate entrance. Bass Lake is the perfect summer location with swimming platforms, beaches, day use parks complete with bathrooms and BBQ’s, and great food and tourism locations. If you’re lucky, you may be able to find some waterfall “slides” and rope swings near the lake! Oakhurst is loaded with trees and scenic views, which makes any neighborhood walk a beautiful hike.

Gorgeous views all around! Allow yourself an hour to do the shortest loop from inside the gate to back out of the gate. There are no street lights in the park so it gets dark fast. Watch for bears and natural wild life

This lake you can boat, jet ski, swim, paddle board, canoe, and have pets swim with you. The water gets warm in the summer and ices over in winter. There are great spots along the lake for dining and shopping. It’s also a great, beautiful scenic drive along the lake with views of giant pines and a sparkly lake.

Yosemite National Park

Check the website nps.gov/yose/index.htm before you go to see if there are any road closures, advice for snow chains on your vehicle, and the cost to enter the park. During COVID, they required advance reservation to get into the park - which ended Nov 1st, 2020 but is always subject to change.
