At the end of Milam St, there's a renovated gas station turned into the cutest sushi house. Amazing patio!

The same owners as Old Monk, this is a great pub at the end of the street to enjoy fish and chips and a cocktail with friends. Tons of TVs if you want to watch the game. Awesome patio for pretty days. Wednesdays are all day happy hour. Don’t miss the Mezcal old-fashioned or the vegan wings! They open at 4:00 on weekdays.

Exquisite neighborhood gem with a small but delicious assortment of breakfast and lunch items that you can take to the Sister restaurant patio next-door and be immediately transported to a Parisian moment. I love the polenta bowls in the morning and the chicken pickle Panini for lunch. Go for an evening nightcap – the wine list is not to be missed! this is the place you were most likely to cross paths with me! 😉

Neighborhoods

Dallas has a little something for everyone - explore the micro neighborhoods for a taste of this and a dabble of that!
Deep Ellum is a Dallas staple, constantly evolving. 10 minute drive, just east of downtown. Known for its dive bars, eclectic food scene, small concert venues, pop up art galleries, and who knows what else - you'll never be bored in this alternative, authentic, "stick-it-to-the-man" vibrant neighborhood. If you're into baseball - definitely check out "Warstic" - it's a baseball bat company started by a graphic design artist and the bats/merch are amazing. Incredible souvenir for you or a loved one.

City advice

Getting around

Rental car or rideshare is the way to go!

Dallas has public transportation (bus, subway/rail), but it's not nearly as developed as San Fran, New York, etc. We strongly recommend driving or rideshare to take advantage of the city. We have free parking just for our guests of the casita!
