Cape Hawke lookout has spectacular views, particularly during whale migration seasons. The walk is a good workout too with a meandering twisting tropical like jungle feel.

Walking Tracks

This track starts at Sugar Creek Picnic area, is 1.7 kilometers, takes roughly an hour and the grade is easy. Just a short drive from Forster and Pacific Palms, Wallingat National Park on the western side of Wallis Lake offers great trails for walks or mountain biking for the whole family with great bird watching and picnicking opportunities. Sugar Creek Trail (also known as Hotel Creek track) is an easy walk through lush rainforest and dense palm forest with an abundance of wildlife, starting from Sugar Creek picnic area. If you want to walk a bit more, there are two more tracks nearby called Cabbage Palm Loop (1.7km loop, 45-75 minutes) and Coachwood Loop (0.8km loop, 15-30 minutes). Vehicle access is 2WD but the gravel roads can become boggy after rain.

This is a gorgeous walk. About 4 kilometres each way. It's easy to medium grade for walkers. This nature walk starts at the Forster Ocean Baths, known to locals as the Bull Ring. The walk continues from near the amenities block through to Second Head with two ocean view lookouts. Take the stairs to Pebbly Beach, then continue along the foreshore past the popular ‘Tanks’ swimming area and onto Bennetts Head, another great vantage point to spot dolphins and whales. Continue down the Rotary Walk onto One Mile Beach sand dune and walk along the beach until you reach Palmgrove Park, before finally heading up to the secluded Burgess Beach.

If you're spending the day at Seal Rocks, there is a little hidden gym of a foodie place not many know of. Run by a young man, Tim has a love of cooking and cooks up some mighty good tucker. Head into Camp Treach, the gatesman will tell you right where you can find Tim. Just tell Timmy, Rick sent ya's. :)
