Visiting St. Helena Bay on the West Coast all year round for its spectacular sunrise and sunsets. Whale watching from kayaks is a given and beautiful stretches of scenery. Enjoy some old style fish and chips at Oppikaai Restaurant, situated at the harbour. This is the West Coast at its best!

One of my favourite wine tours: a trip to Darling! Start with an olive and wine pairing, then follow it up with a Choc/Nougat and wine pairing, then a visit to Tannie Evita and then a craft beer tasting at Darling Brew. After lunch head over to Cloof Wine Estate for a wine and toffee pairing and round it off with a visit to Groote Post or Darling Cellars! This would be a full day wine extravaganza with loads of fun for the whole family!

Visit the West Coast each year during August and September for their annual Spring Wildflower display. Favourite places to visit is the Postberg Nature Reserve, Hopefield and Darling Flower Reserves.
What to pack
Sunscreen and sweaters
The West Coast is known for its blistering sun but be aware of the south-easter blowing during summer. Pack a high SPF for sunburn and a light sweater for the cool Atlantic breeze. Sunhat and sunglasses are also a must-have!
