It is a really relaxed city in the middle of the country. We offer all the things you will look for in big cities like Amsterdam but still have that relaxed-small-town vibe.
Of course taking a walk by the canals is one of the best things you can do. A lot of places have food and coffee to go.

Whilest visiting Utrecht a lot of people take a walk by the old canals in the city centre. If you move just 5 minutes to the other side of the city you will find the "Nieuwegracht"or new canals. Here it is much more calm, green and peacefull. It will give you a great afternoon enjoying the parks and canals.

Getting around
Taking the bus gets you almost everywhere in the city.
If you want to take the bus you need an OV-card. You can get it at the central station. It is a chargable card that can be used troughout the public transport. Busses take you to all places in Utrecht within 15 minutes.
