【Luck】 The Fushimi-Inari Taisha Shrine enshrined at the western foot of Mt. Inari at the southern tip of Kyoto's Higashiyama Sanju-Roppo (36 mountain range) is the head shrine of the 30,000 Inari-sha shrines nationwide. It has been a place of wide worship for the guardian god of abundant crops, businesses, prosperity, and family safety since the Inari Okami (god of harvest) was housed on Mt. Inari in the 4th year (711) of Hatsu-uma (the first day of the horse) in February during the Wado era. 【The symbol is a fox】 The fox is the Inari Okami's (god of harvest) servant. A fox it is, but it is not the one that lives in the fields.

Jishu jinja Shrine is the oldest shrine in Kyoto for Gods of Love and relationship (En-musubi). Those gods have been centres of belief since ancient times. Today the shrine attracts visitors not just from Japan, but from all around the World - and is especially popular with those seeking fulfilment through new or renewed relationships. Jishu jinja Shrine's history is older than the formation of Japan itself, and has its roots in an era about which little is known. The inner shrine, and the smaller shrines within the site are each dedicated to gods from Japan's early shinto religion.

The temple, originally called Otagi-ji Temple, was first built in the Otagi District (The central part of present-day Kyoto) by order of Emperor Shotoku in the latter half of the 8th century.  At the beginning of the Heian period (794-1192), the temple building was washed away when the Kamo River flooded. The temple was reestablished by Senkan Naigu (918-984), a Buddhist priest of the Tendai sect, and became a branch of Enryakuji, the Tendai temple complex on Mt. Hiei.  Over a period of three years beginning in 1922, the temple was transfered to its present location in the Saga District, in order to preserve it.  The temple has a wonderful array of 1,200 carved stone figures of Rakan.....!!

Food Scene

It is a nostalgic coffee shop where the romantes flourished in the good old days revive, it is the taste that makes the coffee passage groan. If you walk south of a thin street in the west of Kiya-machi, you will see it on your right hand side. There are many nominations of Westerners that the coffee of the chain is useless.

Drinks & Nightlife

祇園町北側と違い、一人でしっとり、しんみり京都の夜を満喫するには格好のエリアです。もちろんカラオケなども楽しめますが、この細い路地にはやはりバーカウンターでの「ひとり飲み」が似合います。 Unlike the northern side of Gion town, it is a suitable area for one person to moistly enjoy Kyoto night. Of course you can also enjoy Karaoke and the other things, but this narrow street still suits "drink alone" at the bar counter.

Randen was founded in 1910. It has been running for over 100 years and it is the only tram in Kyoto. Along the line, there are a lot of world’s cultural heritages including such as Tenryuji, Ryoanji, Kinkakuji, Ninnaji. Gion Corner is a place where you can take in seven kinds of performing arts, most notably kyo-mai dance performed by maiko dancers. Here you can see Japan's traditional performing arts in 'digest' form all on one stage. Located in Yasaka Hall next to the Gion Kobu Kaburenjo Theatre, the spot has a very international flavor, as it is popular with Japanese and foreign tourists. There is also a Maiko Gallery, where videos of dances, the hair decorations worn by maiko dancers, and other items are on display.
