Wonderful beach year round for taking walks and enjoying the scenery. In summer, you can swim and rent boats & SUP here as well. In May - October, you need to buy a car/beach pass, which can be purchased through the town.

This is a favorite place for walks right up our road. Turn left out of the drive. You'll get to a stop sign with a church on your left, Audubon Center is across the road. The trails, including an ADA compliant one, are open during the pandemic. There is a nature playtrail for kids behind the main building, a trail that leads to a lake you can hike around, and also a small pond to sit by closer to the main building. The main building is closed, however.

For those visiting the area from further afield, its quite easy to get in and spend a day in the city from Greenwich. Express trains leave regularly from Greenwich station on weekdays, or you can take a slower, local train in just under an hour. Parking at Greenwich station is $5 per day, and the lot is just past the highway and RR station overpasses. Going into the city, you enter the side of the station that is further from the parking lot (on Railroad Avenue). Happy to give recommendations for places to visit and things to do in the city. Even during the pandemic, there are plenty of things to do and see. If you get to the station super early, you can grab a smoothie at Green & Tonic across the street, or a slice of pizza at Planet Pizza.

Food nearby

Greenwich has dozens of fabulous restaurants. While we are always happy to recommend places if you have something specific in mind, here are a few we recommend, from extremely casual to more upscale places for a special occasion. We also recommend walking down Greenwich Avenue and just following your nose, you can find many kinds of food in and around downtown Greenwich, which is about 8 minutes' drive away.

Lovely waterfront spot for al fresco dining on the patio in warmer months. French American cuisine, but we mainly go for the views, and you can go just for drinks as well. You can take a walk to Roger Sherman Baldwin Park across the harbor, or cross under the overpasses and head up Greenwich Avenue for window shopping and people watching.
