Call a taxi to La Biela in the Recoleta district to take tea or coffee outside in the sunshine beneath the Gomero – a 1791 rubber tree. If you're thinking of having breakfast, order medialunas - the delightful miniature croissant that are ubiquitous here.

Parks & Nature

There are very few cities in the world that can lay claim to an ecological preserve as large and wonderful as this one. Walk kilometers of trails in sun and shade, enjoying the marsh, forests & lakes. Rent a bike for the day and have a lovely ride.

This small museum is part of my traditional family's history. My mother's great-aunt used to live here, so I attended to each and every cousin's birthday, christening parties, Christmas & New Year's Eve Parties. Nowadays, it's the Costume History Museum.

Shopping

From its unique location, blending into the shopping area between Retiro & Microcentro, to its notable interior, this Mall is quite memorable. Glass ceilings allow a lot of natural light into the Galeria even on a rainy day and are pretty to look at. There are a number of beautiful frescoes to admire on the ceiling, too. Shops vary from chains to a plethora of unique boutiques.
