Walking distance, great atmosphere. Good food, drinks. Fun fact: used to be the MTV cafeteria until some rock star chefs redid the space.

The perfect beach day with kids: - Get up early, arrive for breakfast with your toes in the sand at the cafe - Kids play at the playground directly next to the cafe while you finish your coffee - Head to the water to watch and play in the waves - If you've packed a lunch, stay for several hours and eat on the beach - When you've got about 30-45 mins left in your kids before they explode, head back to the Beach House to the splash pad, let them play and get the sand off - Dry off, head to your car and back home... kids likely to doze off on the ride for a late afternoon nap
