Arts & Culture

It is stunning. Everywhere you look you see the most beautiful works. They are all in one place. It has the second oldest stain glass windows in Britain and you feel the history including what the reformation must have felt like. There is often something going on, a concert, or exhibition. Go for evensong 17.30 during the week and 15.15 on Saturdays where the boys choir give you half an hour of pure joy as they sing their heart out.

it takes you right into the 12th Century and gives you a feel of where Canterbury has come from. The Gardens are stunning and you can sit on the grass enjoying the peace, seconds away from the busyness of Canterbury High Street.

There are great views on the top of the Cliffs of Dover near the Light House. A 1940s tea room with retro music takes you back in time, and you get to see the crows and seagulls close up as they play on up winds off the cliffs. There's a Pine Garden tea room further along with a quaint WW11 museum of the area in the room behind the dining area and a great pub on the beach from where you can see France on a good day.
