This is real typical Anzio style, simply, not elegant or chic what we call a rustic restaurant. Carlo's father, was a fisherman, and his wife used to help the family, selling fish in the same place where now you can seat and eat your meal. Carlo's son, Tony is actually the Chef, you will enjoy his art. Only fish menu Average price is 25 euro p.p.

If you enjoy, to move a little during your holiday, I surely suggest not to miss Velletri, only 30/40 minutes from Villa Capri, and once you're there take the time to enjoy a meal, you won't forget. Despite the fact the restaurant is located, among the hills do not neglect fish, in the Menu is fresher and tasteful , than lots of restaurant by the sea. Average price 30/60 euro p.p.

Parks & Nature

The Reserve was recently estabilished (in 1988). It is a strip of coast that miraculously escaped urbanization, between the towns of Anzio and Lavinio. The tower erected in the sixteenth century for the sighting of Saracen pirates today is guarding the fossil dunes, frequented by Gruccioni ( birds ), and the tangle of the Mediterranean scrub. It extends for about 44 hectares in the Municipality of Anzio. Site of Community importance at European level is a real treasure chest: a now rare testimony of the ancient coastal forests that occupied the entire coastal sector of southern Lazio. The wealth of environments concentrated in a patch of land shows a long history, both geological and human, which has seen this place as a protagonist.

Sightseeing

The Sforza-Cesarini palace, in its present form, was built as a summer residence of the Cesarini family, then Sforza Cesarini, lords of Genzano from 1564. Built from the transformation of a medieval castle, already existing at the beginning of the XIII century, placed guarding Lake Nemi. The transformation of the medieval castle into a palace, was started around 1590 by Giuliano II Cesarini, who bought houses and land surrounding the medieval building in order to expand it. The Palace was recently restored during the first decade of the 21 st century. It's also possible to visit the Sforza Cesarini Park, annexed to the Palace of the ducal family. This park is unique in the panorama of the area known as "Castelli Romani", because, besides being interesting from a naturalistic point of view, it offers a suggestive and magical landscape, which from the historic center of Genzano leads to the shores of Lake Nemi.

The museum was built between 1933 and 1939 to house two gigantic ships belonging to the emperor Caligola (AD 37-41) recovered from the lake between 1929 and 1931. It was therefore the first Museum in Italy to be built on the basis of the contents, two hulls with measurements of m. 71.30 x 20 and m. 73 x 24, unfortunately destroyed during a fire in 1944. Reopened in 1953, the Museum was again closed in 1962 and finally re-opened in 1988.
