City/town information

Rumney is a small rural community that sits just west of Plymouth, NH. It is mountainous with hiking and snowmobiling trails but also offers the famous Polar Caves on rt. 25 along with several restaurants including The Last Chair and 1776 Brewing Company. Tenney Mountain Ski area has also just reopened for winter skiing.

The park is a great attraction in the area and only 7 miles from the cottage. A 'must see' in the area. It is seasonal and opens in May so be sure to check out Polarcaves.com for more info before visiting.

Less than 6 miles south of the cottage this is a great state park to explore with cool rock formations sculpted from the last ice age and swimming. Pets are permitted in the park.

Visitors can choose to explore Little Pond and the views from the nearby cliffs or trek up to Mount Crosby and Bald Knob with views of the White Mountains, Squam Lake, Lake Winnipesaukee and Newfound Lake.
