Children’s playground

This playground is a ten minute walk away from Out of the Blue. It has swings, climbing frames, roundabouts, obstacles and other delights that will keep little one’s entertained for hours.
Our children love the park and almost prefer it to the beach.

Paddling

Sometimes the best things in life are free. What could be more fun than chancing your luck against the next wave that’s barrelling in. Going paddling in the North Sea certainly stimulates the senses.
If you give it a few minutes your feet will go numb with cold and the initial pain will ebb away.

Crabbing

If you have never been crabbing in Whitby then you have not lived. Buy a bucket and a crab line for a few pounds, bait it with raw bacon and then wait for high tide. You drop the line in and pull the crabs out. Be sure not to put more than one crab in a bucket or they will attack each other. When you’ve finished looking at Mr Crab then put him back carefully.
