Lindos

This is a really unique beautiful place! In classical times the acropolis of Lindos was dominated by the massive temple of Athena Lindia, which attained its final form in around 300 BC. In Hellenistic and Roman times the temple precinct grew as more buildings were added. In early medieval times these buildings fell into disuse, and in the 14th century they were partly overlaid by a massive fortress built on the acropolis by the Knights of St John to defend the island against the Ottomans. Get lost in the small streets between the white colored houses and shops and watch the sun go down

Α really beautiful place into the green forest in the mountain of Profitis Ilias to take a breath during a really hot day and follow the paths . It is located 45km from Rhodes, so you probably need a car to get there. When you get tired, you can have a coffee or lunch at the hotel there, a unique Italian style building (it was made by Italians in 1929, in order to accommodate Italian army officers.
