One of my favourites in the hip Breitenrain neighbourhood: a former firestation (hence the name) turned into a pop-up restaurant might be here to stay. Great food, like at home, only better. small menu, vegetarian friendly

The place is a little gem, hidden where the US embassy was located, next to Dählhölzli Zoo and river Aare. The food is absolutely amazing. You get to choose between 3 and 6 courses. it's pricey, but the experience is worth it. Staff is young and super-friendly

This is an alltime favourite in our family. You come here for great Italian food. The quality has been outstanding for as long as I remember. It doesn't break the bank, service is super efficient. Enjoy a gelato at Gelateria di Berna across the street from there (only open in the summer months)

Walk from the Bear Park all the way along the Aare to the Pet Zoo. It takes you about 30 minutes and is a lovely stroll. You can continue your walk up the forest to the payable part of the zoo.
