Owned and run by family friends of ours, it's become a more modern, family-friendly destination pub and restaurant since its conversion from The Bull in Sissinghurst a few years ago. We often drop in to take advantage of the wood-fired pizza oven in the summer and there are also multiple music and entertainment events through the year to look out for, such as Milkfest. There's a smart dining room or relaxed bar food when indoors.

It has a well-designed courtyard garden with a wood-burning plancha grill in place for its South American crossover food. A lot more quirky than many of the more traditional pubs in the area but good fun with many interesting interior design features.

The experience is based around buying and trying a series of small platters, so lots of different tastes and flavours to enjoy, the idea being it is grown or sourced locally and served seasonally.

This recently-renovated pub is tucked away down a quiet lane behind nearby Iden Green. There's a spacious garden out the back for families or an al fresco pint and a good array of hearty pub grub, including the seriously meaty challenge of their hearty tomahawk steak.
