Restaurants

This is my subjective list of restaurants, as I usually eat in most of them trough whole year. I like that all of them are working during winter (a lot of restaurants work only during tourist season) so this is my way to support local businesses. Of course, you can always check their reviews online!
Fantastic fresh, local food. Beautiful story - 2 daughters of one of the most famous Croatian chefs (Nikola Gamulin) opened this place to share their love for simple, delicious grandma-style food.

Mate is a local gem, old school bakery - it doesn't look posh or stylish but we love their stuff. Try burek with meat or krafne (doughnuts) with chocolate. You will not be disappointed, especially when you're a bit drunk. Avoid pizza, it's too greasy for my taste. Usually working 24/7
