Weko is a personal favorite. It does cost a little for parking. $10 for the day or $40 for a season pass if you plan on going more than four times. It has great views, good facilities, and is more of a local beach instead of the heavily touristed Warren Dunes. The great things about Weko if you're willing to hike down a little ways you can have an entire piece of beach all to yourself. The water is clean and there is a stream and sand bar that is perfect for kids. Right at the entrance there is food and restaurants including my personal favorite Emma's Hearth. Amazing Roma Style pizzas, salads, and pastas. Get there early on weekends and holidays because the parking lot does fill...but the good thing is that does keep it from getting really crowded.

Rocky Gap is a great little local beach that is free. My 10 year olds love it for all the amazing drift wood that can be collected and made into structures and fun things. It has bathroom facilities but no lifeguard. Dog are said not to be allowed but I've never seen it enforced and have seen dogs there many times. Its also close to Saint Joe for great food and dining. Mason Jar Cafe is always good.

Rocky Gap County Park
1100 Rocky Gap RdRocky Gap is a great little local beach that is free. My 10 year olds love it for all the amazing drift wood that can be collected and made into structures and fun things. It has bathroom facilities but no lifeguard. Dog are said not to be allowed but I've never seen it enforced and have seen dogs there many times. Its also close to Saint Joe for great food and dining. Mason Jar Cafe is always good.

It can get crowed on weekends but is a fun scene all in itself. Parking does cost $10 but there is also parking up in town that is free if you can find it and walk down.
