City advice

Don't miss

Boogie board at Wells Beach

The best boogie boards can be found at Reny’s near Hannaford in Wells.
Don't miss

Get an ice cream at the Scoop Deck

So many flavors!
Don't miss

Order drive-thru donuts at Holy Donut in Scarborough

Our second favorite would be Congdon’s in Wells
Don't miss

Take a trolley to downtown Ogunquit.

You can take the trolley from Beach Dreams (blue trolleys), but you had to then make a transfer to the Ogunguit line (red trolleys.) Instead park at the Trolley Depot on Rt 1 and hop the red trolleys. Once you get to Ogunquit, get a souvenir at Sea Bags or an ice cream at Sweet Pea’s.
Don't miss

Eat lobster rolls at the Lobster Shack at Two Lights

It's in Cape Elizabeth--visit the beach to the left of the parking lot for cool rock caves and we always find sea glass there.
Don't miss

Paddleboard at Footbridge Beach

Rent paddleboards (at Wheels and Waves) or kayaks and float along the lazy river under Footbridge Beach (during high to low tide on a calm day, you can float all the way to the tip of Ogunquit Beach)
Don't miss

Shopping in Freeport

Shop the outlets and L.L. Bean (open 24 hours!) in Freeport (visit Bessie’s Farm Goods on Thurs-Sun for the best gifts)
Don't miss

Go mini-golfing

Go mini-golfing at Wonder Mountain in Wells or Raptor Falls in Arundel
Don't miss

Bike the greenway starting at Kennebunk

Park at the Kennebunk elementary school and pick it up there. About a mile in, there's a bridge that goes over Rt. 95!

Fave Portland Eats

In Portland, our favorite eating spots are Scales, Fore Street, Croissants at Standard Baking, Gelato Fiasco, Blue Rooster Kitchen (some casual, some formal/require reservations)
