This bakery recently changed hands (previously La Reve), but we still love the pastries. Their outdoor patio is a charming way to sit outside on the Avenue. Some of our favorites: twice baked almond croissant and the kouign amann (both sweet).

A bizarre little stop, but if you are down on the waterfront it is worth peeking in and seeing the hodgepodge collection of random, weird, and odd things. A Seattle staple.

If you have a day with sun and time to spare, this is a fun way to get another view of Seattle’s skyline. Once you arrive in West Seattle, there is a long beautiful path along the water with places to rent bikes, kayaks, paddle boards etc.
