Things to do, places to visit...

I have taken my kids there for a visit and it was very liked by them, so would personally recommend to people with kids. To add, I also enjoyed the tour of the museum

Great day out for a picnic and enjoying a good swim with water slides to top it all up. I have personally taken my family to Aldershot Lido and it's been a great day out when the sun is shining of course...

Camberley also offers great shopping experiences with a newly renovated town centre. If you plan to visit Ascot, then trains from Camberley runs directly to Ascot, coming from Guildford

About 20 mins drive from Aldershot is also Frensham pond which is my favourite when I need some calm time and / or picnic with the family. Great pond with a sailing club across the lake giving nice views of boats sailing. Sandy areas and safe water for kids to play in, swim and enjoy (weather permitting of course)

The Basingstoke Canal is a British canal, completed in 1794, built to connect Basingstoke with the River Thames at Weybridge via the Wey Navigation. From Basingstoke, the canal passes through or near Greywell, North Warnborough, Odiham, Dogmersfield, Fleet, Farnborough Airfield, Aldershot, Mytchett, Brookwood, Knaphill and Woking. Its eastern end is at Byfleet, where it connects to the Wey Navigation. This, in turn, leads to the River Thames at Weybridge. Its intended purpose was to allow boats to travel from the docks in East London to Basingstoke. Great place for a small picnic or walk alongside the river
