THE most amazing food with lots of outdoor ( heated and covered) space, excellent staff, local exquisite food. MUST book. SO worth it. One of the best places in the whole region... right on the doorstep. Lovely walk or short drive. Indoor and outdoor kitchens mean this place is just awesome.

best coffee and cakes. Amazing offerings for vegans as well... but don't be fooled. These are some of the most delicious. They also do great unique sandwiches and smoothies... even a mushroom and cocoa hot drink to boost your spirits.

Best fresh sourdough Pizza in town. 5 minutes walk from the house. (They will also deliver.) I highly recommend the French if you love garlic and marinaded mushrooms. But they are all great. They EVEN do a dessert pizza with bananas and chocolate if you are feeling decadent.

at the very top of town opposite the Bull, in which is fantastic, there is an extension of the almond thief bakery which sells the best sourdough bread you’ll ever eat plus pastries. And croissants et cetera. Here are their hours: THE ALBATROSS Rotherfold Square, Totnes, TQ9 5SN Opposite the Bull Inn OPEN: TUESDAY - SATURDAY 9AM-2PM

Great all around market for food and the rest

Friday and Saturday markets - Market Square only a 7 min walk - local food, bakeries, plant sellers, fish mongers and funky clothes and antiques too. The Dosas are divine, the curries on Sat are amazing and cheap, …lines for both are aptly long… and the falafel also recommended.
