Sightseeing

Vibrant fishing village at the mouth of the Teign Estuary. Visit The Clipper run by Claire and Peter French, right on the beach for breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply a coffee. They are local farmers that are trying to produce as much as they possibly can for The Clipper from their farm in Stokeinteignhead. If you drive along the coast road from Torquay to Shaldon you will see their farm on the left as you drive past Labrador Bay. Also don’t miss the Ness Beach accessed through the Smugglers’ tunnel.. I’m sure this would have many tales to tell! There is also a Zoo! And Cafe ODE provides great food, with their own micro-brewery on site.

Home to a replica of Golden Hind (Francis Drake’s ship), Brixham remains a vibrant commercial fishing port with trawlers coming in and out alongside day trip boats to supply the famous Fish Market. Berry Head on the South West coast path is worth the walk to see the fabulous views. Look out for grey seals, bottle nose dolphins, and basking sharks that commonly frequent these waters.
