Great view of this waterfall with a buvette close by. A peaceful spot for a drink or lunch. You can either walk from Chamonix through the forest in 45 minutes or drive to a cap park on the way to the Mt Blanc tunnel for a short walk to the waterfall.

During the summer months you can enter the grotte in the Mer de glace and see the ice sculptures and bel ice. The easiest way to reach this is on the Montenvers railway and then take the telecabine down to the ice. There is still a fair way to walk as the glacier has receded since the lift was built!

The Bossons glacier is the largest ice fall in Europe although it is retreating fast. During the summer you can reach the Chalet du Glacier by chairlift. This is a good spot for lunch with a view or to start the hile higher up to the Pyramides or Jonction
