City advice

Getting around

Be careful driving on A1A

Try not to take left hand turn out of property, there is too much traffic.
Getting around

Beach parking is free in Cape Canaveral

Drive down any President Street and you’ll find 5-10 parking spots! All 2-3 blocks from Riverside Escape. There is one public beach area in Cape Canaveral called Cherie Down Park that has bathrooms. Also, further south is Lori Wilson park, which also has bathrooms.
Don't miss

Friday Fest

The first Friday in Cape Canaveral is Friday Fest, music, food, and vendors very close to Riverside Escape. The Third Friday is Friday Fest in Cocoa Beach, Minuteman Causeway is shut down for music, food and vendors, bigger than Cape Canaveral’s!
What to pack

Bring Beach Gear

Sunglasses, Sunscreen, hat, flip flops/water shoes, bathing suits. Several beach gear stores in neighborhood.
Customs and culture

Florida nonresident fishing license is required

Go to gooutdoorsflorida.com to register in advance of your trip if you’d like to surf fish or fish off of the fishing dock on the property. There is a $50 fine for the first time caught without a license, and additional fees based on type of fish and amount of fish caught.
