Sightseeing
I highly recommend buying the National parks pass at the entrance, if you don’t have one. That pass will get you not only to Red Rocks but also to Willow Beach and Mead Lake. It is the same pass you will use in Death Valley or Yosemite. Please note: except summer months, reservations are required for the Parks. It is done online on Recreation.gov. Reservation costs 2 dollars if you have the pass. Please wear comfortable shoes, sunblock, hat, and have plenty of water on your hikes. It takes about 25-35 minutes to get there. It is a loop drive, so even you only hike near the first pull-out, you still have to make the whole loop exit. Please time accordingly for your returns!
On the way back you can stop at some delicious restaurants or exercise more!

It is so beautiful and tranquil. You can rent kayaks and enjoy the Colorado river’s chilly waters on a hot day! It takes an hour to get here. Parking is a minute's walk from the beach! National park pass works here. No reservations are required. You can call them at 928-767-4747 with questions if you want to rent a kayak, etc.

If you like to walk around or jog, there are a couple of parks nearby. This one is 0.3 mi away. There is Essex/ West Charleston park 1.5 mi away, and Cottonwood Canyon park 6 mi away

You can go 4.5 mi to the Old Spanish trail, or you can check out Pueblo park or Cottonwood canyon park, which are 6 mi away
