Beautiful beach with a picturesque lighthouse. Dolphin and other wildlife can be spotted regularly. Best enjoyed at low tide and most beautiful at sunset. Great location to capture the Northern Lights!
East Beach
7a St Gerardine Rd
Beautiful beach with a picturesque lighthouse. Dolphin and other wildlife can be spotted regularly. Best enjoyed at low tide and most beautiful at sunset. Great location to capture the Northern Lights!
Apparently the most instagrammed beach in the UK last year! Unfortunately the bridge across is closed due to structural issues, a new one is being built in 2022. Presently you can only access the beach if you paddleboard/surf/swim across the river. Although very low at low tide this changes quickly and is fast moving when the ride comes in. Best Walks up the estuary side are beautiful and lead into Lossie Woods, gorgeous Scots pine forest with carpets of lichens. Lots of birds and red squirrels! viewed from Prospect Terrace- the top of the hill, views across the bay to Buckie.
