Food Scene

Ideal if you're looking to surprise your partner. Wonderful view over the Douro river, amazing food, accompanied by the best Port Wine. One of the best gastronomic experiences you'll probably have in Porto, so yes, a bit pricey. It's better to make a reservation beforehand.

For me, Célia Caffé Restaurant, is one of best places to eat the famous Oporto's Francesinha sandwich. If you like all types of meat and sausages, melted cheese and spicy food, this delicacy is the one to eat. Tell them, I said "Hi". ;)

Best bakery in Oporto, by far. They have everything from sweet to salty, biscuits to pastry delights. If you're into sweets, I recommend the passionfruit tartine (tarte de maracujá) or the "lanche misto", depending on the munchies.

Traditional portuguese food at its best. Plenty of choises, yet if you're in Oporto, you have to try "Tripas à Moda do Porto", a bean stew with pork trip. Don't be afraid, but if you are, go for the octopus fillets or one of the several codfish dishes.

In case you're feeling adventurous and want to try the best hamburguer joint in town (in my personal opinion), this is the place to go. However, there's a catch: you have to go early (19:30-19:45) to guarantee a table and even so, there's a possibility of not getting it. Amazing food, but in what restaurant management is concerned, you never know. :)

Best vegetarian restaurant in Porto, even for non-vegetarian people. Lovely ambiance, amazing food with an outdoor space ideal for summer nights. From the apartment is a bit far (30+ minutes walking), so I advise if you want to try it out, do call an Uber car, unless you're really up for a nice long walk. :)
