Its "Great American Main Street" – East Carson Street, features 15 blocks of Victorian architecture and was named a National Historic District. Boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, theater and live music venues, are all within walking distance. You can also get a tattoo, dye your hair purple and hoist a yard, making for some of the best people-watching around! The South Side Slopes has 68 sets of public stairs with a total count of 5,447 steps. Rent Bicycles, kayaks, take a double decker Pittsburgh bus tour! Short uber to the stadiums and fields. Close to universities, hospitals and downtown. Pittsburgh is a very diverse city with all our city neighborhoods being well blended with different nationalities and economic groups. Each area has their own different flair and history. Pittsburgher's are generally friendly and helpful and easily approachable. Numerous people have told me they don't feel like they are in a big city because everyone acts very small town and approachable which surprises them.
