If you love to swim, or have kids, try out Sea Point swimming pool. It's not heated, but for a nominal daily fee, spend the day poolside,just above the ocean.Lots of screaming kids if schools are out.

There are many great Sat markets in CT but nice thing about this one in Hout Bay (not near) is it is also open Sundays&on Fri evenings.Nice crafts to buy&more eating/music there than buying for home.

This resto is fantastic-very old school.The owner works the grill and you may come in and think it's old-fashioned,or unpopular but quickly it fills up.Divine meat & fish.Pan fried calamari the best!

For finer dining nearby you can't beat La Boheme.Really good,complex,french dishes.Nice ambience!It's more expensive,but delicious!For the gastronomes,it is a must.I love Balsamic beef fillet risotto.
