Sightseeing

This is our closest beach. It is less frequented due to lack of parking and it is really beautiful. From the Hut you go down the drive and turn right and then bear left down the hill when you get to the end of the lane. When you get to the gateway of the last house you turn right down the path. It takes five minutes to walk down and 10-15 to walk up!

This beach reached the final of Britain's Best View. It is indeed a jewel in the crown of Gower. It is a firm favourite with the locals and when the tide is out it joins Three cliffs Bay which is pictured above. The beach is a 15 -20 minute walk from the car park in Southgate but the walk takes in some spectacular coastal views along the way. The photo you see above is taken from an old ruin of a castle built on the dunes. A magical story of fairies and curses is associated with its demise.

This beach is located on the coastal path and can be easily reached in an hour and a quarter if walking form the Hut. You follow the directions for Pwll Du and then follow the coastal path around the headland. There is a lovely cafe overlooking the bay and its a great place to relax and refresh before making the journey home or continuing on the cliff path to Langland or even Mumbles if you are a keen walker.
