The main concept of this restaurant is Georgian bread. Puri Guliani, the name of the place, literally means “bread with heart”. They offer a wide range of local pastries – khachapuri from different regions of Georgia, sweets, pies, and of course famous soviet style donuts accompanied with Georgian lemonade which was invented back in 1887.

The menu combines avant-garde takes on classic Georgian dishes with some international crowd-pleasers. A collaboration with the Gerogian Farmers’ Association guarantees farm-fresh seasonal produce goes into the kitchen’s creations. This distinctive urban cafe-bar is one of the best places to have a flavorful breakfast, lunch or refresh with a couple of cocktails in the evening. The open kitchen gives you the opportunity to taste Georgian-European cuisine with a glass of wine or home-made Georgian lemonade while watching how your next meal is cooked. Located opposite one of our favorite design hotels, in the ‘new’ part of Tbilisi, Lolita is modern Georgia in a nutshell.

The museum displays the family collection of its founders, Gia Jokhtaberidze and Manana Shevardnadze. The mission of the family collection is to unite and promote Georgian soviet and post-soviet art in one art institution, as many of the exhibited works have never been shown to the wider audience. The museum allows visitors to explore 3500 Georgian artworks that have been created by over 100 artists in the past 70 years. The permanent collection is distributed over three floors with a suggested tour beginning from the top floor. Based on chronological development from 5th, 4th and 3rd Floors, visitors can explore sculptures, paintings, graphic works, drawing-objects and collages. On all three floors, in terms of historical and political periods, a very diverse image is created - socialistic realism, the period of the Iron Curtain and the Cold War, the period of warming, the collapse of the Soviet regime, Civil War and Independent Georgia.

Dedaena Park is a great recreational space along the river embankment and nested between the busy districts of the capital. Park has been renovated recently, and has various resting spaces as well as a newly built skate park. Park was built soon after the World War II. Before that, these areas were occupied by the river bed of Mtkvari, and there was a small Madatovi island on the place of what now serves as a relaxation space for the citizens. “Deda Ena” is directly translated from Georgian as “mother language”, or more precisely – native language. Origins of the Dedaena memorial and park lies in the historical events of the 1970s, particularly, the 1978 Georgian Demonstrations, which took place in response to the attempt by the Soviet government to change the constitutional status of the Georgian language in the Georgian SSR. Tens of thousands of people gathered in the park that is now called Dedaena Park. Protesters were eventually successful, as Georgian officials managed to negotiate with Moscow and the previous status of the Georgian language as an official state language was retained. Since then, 14th of April, the date of the culmination of the 1978 protests, is celebrated as the day of the Georgian language. There is a tall stone memorial located inside the park, which depicts a child rising to the sky and a bell above his head. Memorial was designed by Elguja Amashukeli and Nodar Mgaloblishvili. Currently, there are two bars and a café operating on the territory of the park.
