There are also picnic areas as well as a large camping area. There is an admission fee per person.
Visit the ruins of historic Fort Fremont. This park is free to the public and open year round. Also - there is limited beach access at low tide right beside the park.

In the 1960's the Center sponsored and hosted interracial conferences on Civil Rights and was a retreat site for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and human rights activists. Dr. King wrote much of his famous "I have a dream" speech in a still standing home right on this very property. There are events held throughout the year as well as private tours of the property.
