Tulum's public beaches

The beach

Playa Paraiso is located on the north side of the beach road, on the way to the Maya ruins. It is known to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the World. It is a public beach and it is easy to access it. It’s a 13 minutes drive from Mirak, and you can always ride your bike to the beach (15-18 minutes), they have bike parking there. There you would find a lot of places where you can rent a sun lounger and umbrella, or you can always sit in one of the beach clubs or restaurants there.

Playa Pescadores is also located on the north side of the beach road, on the way to the Maya ruins, just north of Playa Paraiso. You will be able to see the ruins from there, and it’s a perfect spot to find a snorkeling tour. Be aware that Tulum doesn’t have the best snorkeling, but they can take you out to the reef in a boat. My favorite public beaches are on the north side, on the south side of the beach road you would also find some public access beaches, but there is where most hotels and famous beach clubs are. You can always sit in one of the famous beach clubs, that's what Tulum is about. Beer is usually about $100 pesos ($5 bucks), and cocktails around $350 pesos ($15 bucks), some might have happy hour. Streets might get busier on this part of the beach road; it could take you even 30 min to get to your destination. But you can also always bike there, it is about a 20 min ride from Mirak to Taboo, one of the most famous beach clubs. Enjoy your stay and it is worth visiting a list of some of the beach clubs in this area! ""Vibra alto en Tulum!""
