Getting around

Avoid Interstate During Work Commute

Driving around the city is typically very easy except during the morning and evening work travel times. Plan your schedule to avoid needing to drive at those times. If you do - use your GPS to find the fastest routes.
Customs and culture

Y'all, Lagniappe, Eaux

Louisiana is full of culture and traditions. You will likely hear a friendly "y'all" meaning "you all" . Lagniappe -is just a little something extra that will frequently be applied. Anything ending with "eaux" is pronounce "o". Geaux Tigers, for example.

Just ask!

If there is anything else you want to know about - just ask. I have lived here all of my adult life and would be happy to give recommendations.
