Fascinating place to visit. Built in 1942, the tower was one of 15 towers that helped aim batteries of coastal artillery, stretching from North Wildwood, NJ to Bethany Beach, DE. Four were in Cape May County.
Don't forget to look for Cape May diamonds on the beach!

Good for drinks. Unique in Cape May, the mugs hanging from the ceiling belong to members of the Ugly Mug Club. Each member has his own mug, as they did in the old days of Vaudeville and barbershop quartets. Deceased members of the club are honored by having their mugs hung facing the ocean.
