Food Scene

This is a neighborhood diner with a fun and friendly atmosphere. The food is great, and so it gets pretty busy after 6:00 pm. The prices are very reasonable.

They have the best burger in town. I've been going here since they were in a tiny building off Preston St. The beer list is respectable, as well.

Mozza Pie began as (and still is) a breadbaking school. They have an excellent breakfast menu and some of the best coffee I've had outside of Italy. But it is the pizza that will have you coming back. My personal favorites are the Iberico Choriza and the Thai Pizza. They have a large copper, wood burning pizza oven that turns out perfect crusts every time.

Whenever I need a gift, this is my go-to spot. It has quirky, classy merchandise at a reasonable price. I have always been able to find what I didn't even know I needed! It is also across the street from Muth's Candy, the best candy shop in town, and probably the state (sorry Rebecca Ruths!) Stop in after shopping and get a box of Modjeskas. They are worth the trip!

If you are a cyclist, this is a great shop. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. When I see them riding in the park, they always greet me by name. I tried several other shops before I found On Your Left, and I've been delighted with them. I've bought everything from a gravel bike to shoe covers from them.

This is the beginning of the Parklands system. There is a very nice walking/running/biking path that goes through several parks (you can access these from other roads as well). I ride my bike here pretty often. If you are a cyclist, you can get about 30 miles and a LOT of hills in here! There is fishing and kayak/canoe access as well.
