Hands down my favorite Mexican food in the neighborhood. El Pipirin is an outdoor, street-style Poblano restaurant, owned and operated by the incredibly generous and charismatic, Puebla-natives, Cesar and his wife. Call ahead for opening. It’s typically open from Noon to late in the summer, Noon to 8pm during colder months and closed for inclement weather. On a cold day, ask for a cafe de olla, or an atole.
