You can walk across the road into the Nature reserve. Small kids can make the 3km walk easily, the 9 + 11km is also very doable for kids, our 5 + 6 year old manages them! A beautiful day in nature! Don't forget to take water and snacks!

City advice
What to pack
Pack for 4 seasons
Always bring swimwear, something warm, a hat + sunscreen! The accommodation boarders the Maitlands Coastal Nature Reserve so be sure to pack cloths for outdoor activities. Rock shoes are also a good idea for exploring parts of the rocky shoreline. A set of binoculars will be used daily here!

Having your own transportation will be very necessary if you want to really explore all this area has to offer
Travelling with kids
Fun for the Kids
Some beach toys or beach games are always a good idea, you may want to bring fishing nets as there are many rock pools to explore along the rocky shoreline. Gumboots for Farm walks, a bug catcher as there are MANY little creatures here to learn from!
Customs and culture
Tipping
It's customary to tip 10 - 12 % at restaurants and bars in our area!
